We see our role as mediators in the food system, trying to reorganize necessary infrastructure. Inspired by community supported agriculture (CSA) and consumer co-op models, we hope our subscription to be the core of our community building and to allow us to do better in what we can offer our community – farmers and customers alike.

How does it work ?

1. Choose your package size

We offer our subscription package in 4 standard sizes, from 3 to 6 jars a month. You can choose to add a bottle of brine or condiment as well. The size of your package can be adjusted by you anytime. If you want more pickles than the standard packages offer, just write us.

While signing up, you inform us of your preferences and we do our best to make a fitting selection for you out of that month’s offer.

(We hope to soon create a system for you to give you full control of the content of your monthly package)

2.Recurring payments

After your initial payment with iDeal or card, your subscription will be automatically charged monthly.
You can adjust or pause your subscription in the ‘my account’ section.

3. We deliver or You pick up

Get your pickles delivered or pick them up at our kitchen in Amsterdam Noord.

We deliver every 1st Thursday of the month between around 9:30 and 18:30 o’clock.
Delivery costs 5€ or is free for orders over 50€.
If you’re not available on the 1st Thursday of the month, message us at subscription@alonspickles.com to arrange another delivery or pick up date.

Pick up is at our kitchen, Nieuwendammerdijk 532-D2, usually Mondays, on additional days as stated in the calendar or in consultation. Remember to bring a bag and your subscription confirmation mail!

We’re trying to find a balance between keeping our ferments affordable while at the same time paying our fermenteam fairly and the production ways sustainably. Therefore, we offer this subscription to you, to support us in exchange for a nice package of pickles for a fair price every month.

We’re giving our best to be transparent in everything we do and you can always ask us if you have further questions.
Here is a little overview on what it costs us to produce a jar of pickles (approximately).
